Happy holidays from temporarily chilly North Carolina (I'm headed for high 70s in Florida!) Best wishes for 2009.

Are panda paws good for digging out of snow?

Pandas love snow. We frolic and cavort. Plus after a few days when it turns grey, it provides great camoflauge for our nighttime adventures. Just dirty up the white spots on our fur and we blend right in.

Happy holidays to you and yours, James, and to all my friends here on Fodors.

Seattle has ben hit with real snow - a foot or so - (something we don't often get) which makes me yearn for Thailand. So, to all of you, I'm wishing you a green Christmas.

Warm wishes to all from icy cold Boston.

Thanks for all the insightful commentary in 2008 and here's to a 2009 rich in dreaming about travel, bantering about travel, planning to travel, helping others to plan their trips and...oh, yes...actually setting out as much as possible.

Happy Holidays!
