Hanoi Airport to Nikko Hotel

Arrive 3:30PMFriday afternoonon vietnma airlines into hanoi. How much time will the process take to go through airport formalities and check intonikko hanoi hotel south of the french quarter. Will I be ready by 5PM to make arrangements- with hanoikids to meet me at my hotel. thank you

It will take you at least 45 minutes to drive from HAN to the city center, where Hotel Nikko Hanoi is located. Add in 30-45 minutes of picking up your baggage and going through immigration and it's highly doubtful that you'll be ready to meet the kids at 17:00. HTH.

i think it is too soon, but you might make it....getting into the city will be the main issue...

if you are doing visa on arrival it will take longer too..

1.30-2hours, it's enough time to go from airport to Nikko hotel

thanks. If I gotothe oldtown-french quarter in the evening: are the streets well lighted so the motor bikes will not collide with me ormy wife or do I need to wear reflective material?

(This reply is late, but putting it here in case anyone else stumbled upon this question.) From 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM the majority of the Old Quarter is filled with traffic, lights, and activity. Reflective material or not, be careful. Traffic is insane in the Old Quarter, with reckless drivers weaving in and out of the tiny streets. From 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM there is activity, but it's mostly youth, bar hoppers, or late night eaters. All of the normal shops have closed well before 10:00 PM.
