Need help as not very familiar with the route and plan . I'm going to Tokyo in early Oct. will be departing from Shinjuku to Hakone and staying around Gora area. Plan to stay 3 days 2 night and tham go back to Shinjuku. Plan to spent one day in Gotema premium outlet for shopping Need advice :-
1) which way is more appropriate, go to Hakone ftom Shinjuku to Gotema or Shinjuku via Hakone Yumoto station by Romance bus?
2) not sure the premium shop should go on the 1st place or last day due to the mode of transport
3) plan to visit Hakone area and Mt Fuji area. Anyway have the itinerary? Not sure where to start as 1st before check in we intent to visit some area as the checking in is strictly 3pm
3) which place is better
- Tokinoyu Setsugetsuka
-Hakone lake hotel
-Yutorelo-an
4) which pass should I get, Hakone free pass or Hakone Fuji pass

2) If you go shopping in Gotemba first then I assume you would be hauling some luggage. In that case you would then be hauling the luggage and your purchases to Gora which might not be ideal.

OTOH, if you intend to buy new luggage in Gotemba to replace the luggage you are carrying then that would work. You'd be sure that everything fits in your new luggage!

yes you are right, i should travel the Hakone area and Mt Fuji area the 1st 2 day and the 3rd day before going back to Shinjuku than i go to Gotemba.

does that make sense i go back to Shinjuku from Gotemba instead of going all the way to Hakone Yumoto station than Shinjuku?
most likely i will place the luggage at the hotel before i check in . will try to travel light for the 3 days.

Is it better for me to travel from Shinjuku to Gora via Romance car to Hakone Yumoto station and go back Shinjuku from Gotemba?

Yes.

There is a bus from Gotemba Premium Outlet to Shinjuku that you can take one way.

Or you could take the free shuttle from GPO to Gotemba station and then JR to Shinjuku.
