Good shoes at Sigiriya

I forgot to mention the importance of good shoes for climbing at Sigiriya. People, particularly women, were climbing with flimsy sandals. There are stairs, of course, and it's not rock climbing by any means, but the stairs are steep and slippery if they are wet. You should have footwear with good, gripping soles and if you are subject to vertigo, the last section could be challenging.

It is an amazing place!!!

So true! I brought my Keens and was glad I wore them that day!
