Five star Hotels in Bali

I am planning a trip to Bali and I plan on staying at the Ritz in JB, the Sheraton Laguna Nusa Dua and Four Season in Ubud. Do I really need to stay in all these luxurious hotels or is there a better combination anyone can recommend.

Thanks
Dear Peter,
I was just in Bali last October and stayed at the Ritz. You will be very impressed with this resort! We stayed in Villa #2007 on the cliffs over looking the Indian Ocean. This place is incredible. I have traveled extensively throughout the globe and this is by far the finest place I have been to with the best memories. It is also a good location to go to kuta without all the noise.Do some research you will here wonderful things about this hotel. We hired a car from the hotel which took us up to Ubud for the day it cost a us $75 with car and driver. We had lunch at the Amandari Hotel looked very nice and have herd many good things also about it. Hope this helped you. Scott

I would skip the Sheraton. It is a huge convention hotel. Nusa Dua is a pretty area, and the Bali Country Club has a nice course.

In the Ubud area, I found the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. Begawan Giri Estate (www.begawan-giri.com) Absoultely incredible. We cancelled our stay at Amandari to stay here. It is about 10 min from Ubud. I got the reccommendation from this board, and it was right. We stayed at Amanusa also.

email if you have questions

We are honneymooning in bali this July and booked 5 nights at the ritz and 5 nights at the four seasons sayan. It seemed like a good combination of beach and mountain/inland.

Everything we have heard about the hotels from friends is fantastic. We booked a private villa at four seasons and a regular room at the ritz. The ritz has rooms starting at 150.00 a night, very reasonable, however the four seasons in quiet spendy.

Regards

We stayed at the Ritz for 7 nights, one of the best hotels ever, Sheraton is one of the better Sheraton Resorts but still does not compare, although it's at a convenient location, you can not swim on the beach from the Ritz, which was o.k. with us, because the beaches at Bali was not the white sand, calm water like the carribean beaches.
Do go to the outdoor restaraunt for dinner before sunset, eat, and enjoy as the sun goes down, it was the best, we had wonderful seafood, some kind of punch drink that came in it's own watermelon while musicians played soothing music in the background.
Next time, we will go to the Ritz for 3 nights and stay at Ubud for 3, daytrip to Ubud was not enough, since this place was the highlight of Bali sightseeing
