Feb trip to Thailand

Traveling to Thailand the last two weeks in Feb. First time trip. Originally scheduled to spend the last 4 days in Phuket (Chedi). Now looking at other options. Considering the Anatara or the Meridian in Koh Sumani? Going to the Anatara in the Golden Triangle so thinking maybe one is enough. Would appreciate comments on these potential choices.

I stayed at the Anantara at Hua Hin a couple of years ago. We had a deluxe lagoon room, which was stunning. The rooms are even better than the rooms at the Golden Triangle. It is true that the Anantaras have a signature style, so you might prefer to stay at different kinds of hotels. I also enjoyed the Hyatt at Hua Hin. It is walking distance from the Chiva Som, which is the "best destination spa in the world."

Other options you have are Hua Hin ( Anantara, Sofitel, Hyatt Regency, Dusit etc ) or the Pattaya / Jomtien Beach area if you want mainland or Koh Samui if you want an island.
