Not in love with any of the hotel choices in X'ian. What did you like?

I find that Citadines Central is ideal for its location and good value.

We stayed in the Sheraton north. It seemed to be a good location for all our sightseeing.

You preferably want to be inside the city walls and a short walk to the subway. Check on Google maps. The Sheraton north meet neither of these 2 criteria. But if you have a driver it may not matter.

DOES ANYONE KNOWWhoever took over the Hyatt Regency, can offer a fine looking hotel with sll the bells and whistles...just inside the east entrance which results in the quickest route to the terra cotta gang. I believe it's an Asian chain.

I loved the Tang Dynasty Art Garden Hotel! I was there 3 weeks ago. Don't get a room in the back . People in the park behind crack a whip for hours and it is noisy. I loved the surrounding park and wish I spent more time walking in the park. It was worth getting up early and walking around watching the locals do sports, play music and pray. The fountain show at night was cool. Do watch your belongings in the mall near by. Someone tried to snatch my purse which I had next to me at the outside dinning table.

Tang Dynasty West Market Hotel. The hotel is very nice, really great luxury hotel with all the facilities. I enjoyed staying here.
