DIY in Tokyo? You guys have gotta see this!
I stumbled across this weird and wonderful store while in Tokyo...under the auspices of a DIY store...it's just weird. Make sure you check it Tokyu Hands Creative Life Store out if you're ever in the Shibuya area!

Luckykat, I had heard of that store on another forum and have been planning on taking my teen daughter to Tokyo Hands in April, so thanks for the recommendation and site.
The site you gave is very nice. I just read and saw you entire ascent of Kilimanjaro. Wow!

Fantastic! Thanks for visiting my site! I know, I am a crazykat! Make sure when you're looking for the store you ask for Tokyu hands (with a 'u')...not Tokyo Hands. Its a common mistake but might get you lost.
In addition to Tokyu Hands, you should take your daughter to Kiddyland Toy store. I know it sounds like a place for under 10's but it really is bizzare! Plush 'sushi' toys and the weirdest array of Japanese characters I have ever seen in the basement! I;m going to do a write up on my site later today with the details and will post it on this board.
I have masses of recommendations for Tokyo so I better get posting!
