Departure Tax ?BKK, HK, India?

Which of these airports do you actually have to hand over departure tax (ie not included in ticket)
BKK (?400B but going up?) Hong Kong? & Calcutta? Also do they each have to be paid in local currency?

Thanks
J

cambodia can be paid in dollars as i remember..

thailand is currently 400 B which must be paid in B but is changing to 700 B in the winter and will then be paid in multiple currencies....i would have B however to simplify things....they are working to include it in the ticket price....

india has a tax of 250 rs for local countries and 500rs for other countries..that is old info...not sure about currency...

HK yes as i remember, but others will tell you

Departure tax at HKG has been included in your ticket fare for many years. No handing over of cash at check-in.

Thanks so much. You confirmed what I thought I knew about BKK, Cambodia & Hong Kong although I could not find 2 pieces of info to agree about when BKK would go up. No I just need to find out if India is in our ticket or not. I have tried to remember what happened last time we left but just can't!

To our surprise, we did not pay a departure tax at Delhi airport in India.

in Cambodia, the departure tax was not included in our tickets and we had to pay cash at the airport. At the time ( in 2003) there were no ATMs at the airport or any other way to get money. Come with cash

The Cambodia departure tax of $25 can be paid with a Visa card. We paid both the domestic and international with Visa in August. Also, there are ATMs in PP and Siem Reap now-if one doesn't work with your card go to another bank and try theirs.
