Cyn is in Thailand
We made it! I have started a blog if you want to "come along"
.

If you see something that I have mis-labeled, please tell me so I can fix it.
Why didn't anyone tell me it's HOT??? (joke!) And very beautiful. We're at the Veranda Resort in Hui Hin (or Cha Am - take your pick I guess). It is really beautiful.
A word of reassurance about the airport - we landed at night, with no problems. We found no signs for the Novatel at the airport, but there were people everywhere that helped us, so no worries.
Thanks for all your help - I'll check in later.

Sawadee kah/khrup!
Khop-kuhn for your kind comments everybody! Yes, I am worried about the snow and ice sneaking up on us here!
It's funny about the ticket agent - because she actually started out a little cranky, but once she saw that the flight had been cancelled already, she went into full-customer service mode. She actually had our boarding passes printed out before we got back to the counter, and almost forgot to check our ID's. I handed our passports to her, and she says, "No, I don't need those because I'm not doing anything with the international part. Oh, wait - I do need to check your id's."
So far, we are really enjoying Thailand - the staff here at the Veranda have been so kind, although we do make them laugh with our clumsy attempt at wai - ing.
Tomorrow we are back to Kaeng Krachan National park for another try at wildlife - this time we hope to get to the cave with all the bats!
Can anyone tell me if Thai names work the same as anglo names? Our first guide introduced himself as Ariya, but in some of the paperwork he gave us, he was referred to as Mr. Ariya, so now I'm not sure if it's his first or last name.
