Cost for a tour with Tong's business

I sent an e-mail to Tong asking for a price quote for a morning trip (half day)to the floating market for myself and my husband. Tong responded that she was booked but would send a licensed guide from her team for 3500 Baht. This would include
- Car + a licensed guide as a driver.
- Gasoline.
- Paddle boat fee at the floating market.

Do you think this is reasonable for a half day trip? I thought I read on this forum that people spent this amount or less on a full day guided tour...just want to make sure we are paying a fair price. Thanks!

ask her again and this time put in something like 6:30AM-1PM or similar...

That's what I thought as well at first but her e-mail says that we would be back to our hotel by 12:00pm. I was reading other posts about her and she didn't even charge that much for a full day.

I will try Ratt and Cherry. Thanks for the info! =)

Tong quoted us a half-day price of 2500 Baht, so maybe there was a typo.

Just a suggestion.

A 1/2 day with Ratt 41/2-5 hours would be a total of ~2000 Baht with gas and paddle boat (that is only 200 Baht she can pay) for 1 hour at the market is all that is all you need. If you leave bangkok at 8 AM you can easily be back before 12 and she can leave you off at one of the major shopping malls upon your return or a restaurant. But most driver/guides like a full 10 hour day (8-6) and we find that works best with AM to floating market and 4-6 hours shopping/lunch in 2-3 major places will cost ~3000-3200 Baht with Ratt with gas and paddle boat, etc.
But you have to tell her in email you defineltly want her not one of her drivers. She may remember my name for we used her for 4 1/2 days this past April. As an aside, I suggest you use a Premium taxi from the airport and not Ratt, Julie Taxi or others. It is just easier and cost maybe $2-$3USD more. I would avoid regular taxi's and take premier taxi-not limo, for the car will generally be larger, A/C work better and the wait for one will be 1/3rd or less the time based on my 2 observations from the old airport.

We used Cherry last year and she was fantastic! She combined the floating market tour with a trip to Kanchanaburi, as well as the Tiger Temple and other cool spots. I strongly recommend her.
