Combining Trips?

Would like input regarding combining a trip to Australia/New Zealand with SE Asia(Thailand,Singapore,HongKong);time is not a factor, flying is? Any ideas for a solo traveler? Best months, hope to go Jan/Feb03.Anyone who has used the Delta Around the World ticket please help!!!!Best tour companies for independent travel???Many thanks!!!

This is ambitious but do-able if time is no object. First, I would investigate a Circle Pacific ticket vs the round the world ticket. It might be cheaper and would eliminate need to go through Europe. Having lived and travelled in this part of the world for many years, I would suggest that you start in HK, skip Singapore, check out Thailand and then go Down Under before leaving for USA via NZ. However, these months are the height of summer school break for Aussies and Kiwis and things are crowded and hot (which you'll be in Bangkok) but not HK. Have fun......

try www.airtreks.com.. that itinuary is very commen.. sometimes they throw in fiji.. <BR><BR>
