Good choice to go to India, dgunbug.
Personally, I have a mental block about visiting countries that don't allow a lot of freedoms like China or oppress other cultures(Tibet), again China.
I think you'll enjoy India...it's multi-cultural (within the country itself), it has varied religions (although it's predominantly Hindu), and excellent food (I hope you like some spicing). As others have said before, expect sensory overload....there is about 10,000 years of history to begin with (as a tourist you will only be able to see about the last 400-500 years of architechtural sights).
Enjoy your reading....great start. Good preparation is the key to good travel imho.

Magical & Pattyroth - thanks for your feedback. I've been busy reading travel reports and am very excited about India. Thankfully I have lots of time before our trip and much reading to do before we embark on this journey.

But the mirror image is just an option that iweb offers when you make your website with a Mac computer.I kind of liked it.
