China Luohu District, Shenzhen- Yizhan Center

We will be shopping in Shenzhen ( of course first at the large Luohu shopping mall near the train station) But then plan to visit the "YIZHAN CENTER - LIGHT INDUSTRIAL HOME ACCESSORIES MALL" Has anyone ever shopped there? Any advise on certain vendors to shop at? Shipped items home to USA?
Thanks for all your help. This is a great group

The Luohu Shopping Centre is one of the more expensive places to shop in China, and only looks cheap from a Hong Kong perspective. It is fully geared up to deal with inexperienced foreign shoppers who have no idea of real prices, and it is the home of swarms of pickpockets. Venture further into the city before shopping.

It's in the nature of bargaining that rarely do two people get the same deal on the same item on two different days. Vendors popular with foreigners and recommended on-line are by definition those with whom bargaining to a decent price will be most difficult. There is no substitute for investing time to visit multiple outlets, examining goods minutely, and bargaining at each of them. If you want to be sure of getting the real thing, once you have your hand on it keep it there and don't let it out of your sight. Head for the post office yourself.

Er... 'Venture further into city before shopping' means move away from the tourist-thronged border to visit other malls and markets further into the city. Huaqiangbei, or Dongmen, perhaps, depending on what you want to buy. Still not ideal due to being in Shenzhen, but better than Luohu.
