Dorothy, can't answer your question but we are going on there 22-day trip this September. Everything I've read about them has been good.

We had a great 15-day tour with China Focus last summer. Didn't get to the Three Gorges. They are an excellent company that packs a lot into every day. Food, hotels, travel arrangements, guides, etc. were all fine.

Friends of mine took a China and Yangzte river tour and loved it. It wasn't specifically the "Farewell" tour. I had recommended China Focus based on my 12 day (9 in China) tour. China Focus did an excellent job with great tour guides and really nice hotels. I liked the food almost everywhere - not the typical European tour food - very fresh.
