Cheap as chips accommodation in Mumbai?
Hi
I'm traveling through India at the moment with a mate of mine from Australia, and just wondering whether anyone had any recommendations for a good, but cheap, place to stay in mumbai?
We plan on being there towards the end of the month, and from the guidebook, it seems like most of the cheap accommodation is pretty scary stuff.
Does anyone have anything that would cost about 500 to 600 rupees for a room with 2 beds? We don't need anything flash, just as long as it isnt resembling a prison cell.
Thanks for all the help

Anything in that range will be too seedy to stay.I suggest you try the Youth Hostel, which would be inexpensive but safe to stay in.Your guide book could give you the info.

My daughter and her girlfriend stayed at the YWCA and she loved it!
Rates start at INR 890 for a single non A/C room to INR3124 for a family room.
They had a twin airconditioned room with own bathroomfor 3 nights for INR5850. That includes breakfast and either lunch or dinner.
I know they have a website which I'm sure you could find if you searched.
