We just flew Cathay Pacific First class this week to HOng Kong- new plane. It appeared to be quite better than Business, at least that is a comment from my Husband who has flown both.

For some reason I had assumed you were all "coach" people as everyone here is very friendly and down-to-earth. Unlike the more snooty folks at flyertalk's "luxury hotels" forum!

I have AA FF miles - how difficult is it to get Cathay First in advance (JFK-HKG)

In my experience, I've been able to find availability if I reserve 8 or 9 months out. JFK is one of the easier scores, as there are 3 flights/day.
