Cheryl's photos are fabulous. Between your narrative and her photos, I really got an idea of what I am about to see. Both your report and her photos are excellent. Thanks for posting both.

great pics...

L'Opera seems to be in a new spot....there was no outside seating when we visited, only a small inside dining room... was it located 1/2 way to the airport?

Bob, it's located in a residential area near the lake, about halfway to the airport. There are a series of inside dining rooms, and the outside seating area for evenings.

I am going to slowly let myself enjoy all of these -- just did one Bagan folder -- love the picture with the cow!

Will we see Cheryl's U Bein photos? Or did I overlook them?

Patty, thanks for the reminder. Cheryl had organized them separately and they didn't get posted. She will get on that right away!

Indeed, she did, Craig. She took over 400 photos at the bridge, and spent lots of time trimming down how many to post. There were a long series she took one after another from the boat, and I thought she should make a slide show of those, as it was like time-lapse photography which gave a good sense of the "dance" of people across the bridge.

Thanks for posting the U Bein photos--one of my favorite places! Love seeing them. I think # 12 and # 30 were my favorites. Very cool to show ordinary life in a starkly beautiful setting.
