Bulgari - Bali

Does anyone know details on this resort? The website doesn't say much more than opening in 2005. Anyone know when and other details? Pictures? Prices? Thanks

The Bvlgari hotels are managed by the Marriott group. I absolutely love their Milan property and I think this hotel in Bali will be comparable to an Amanresort. I'll be in Bali in July so when it's open I'll have a look.

I know the architect, and understand that it will be open at Christmas this year, but this may slip over to early 2006. The hotel is entirely villas, with the smallest being 2,000 square feet. I think the average rate will be about US$800 a night and up. The location is in the Nusa Dua area.

I also love their Milan property, although room size is a bit small and there are some inefficiencies with the use of space. Hopefully in a much larger villa this will not be an issue.

The hotel will be managed by the Ritz-Carlton division of Marriott, they are pretty careful to keep the two separate, as one is luxury and the other are perfectly nice hotels, but not with the same luxury and service level.

Wow $800 per night isn't cheap, but I of course this can be expected from Bvlgari. It seems that the Aman resorts on Bali have another competitor. Anyway, I'll be in Bali in July and will stay at the Amankila. Can't wait to go!
