Boston GTG-really final notice

As the witching hour approaches, last minute details are being worked out. It's tough to spell out F-O-D-O-R-S on a speedo, but the effort continues. Bob's medications are being adjusted.

The opening ceremony will take place in bgod-forsaken Needham. The lighting of the cigar will be really special.

A caravan to Skipjack's will carry the besotted participants to dinner. Big surprise, it's in Newton, not Needham.

Try this:

Close your eyes

Breath deeply

Let out all the bad thoughts

Let out all the good thoughts

Whatever is left constitutes your core issues

Ignore these as much as possible

All better now?

CS, you're writing this to Gpanda, an attorney who will undoubtedly bill you for therapy to go. Be careful, very, very careful!

Have fun! Wish I could be there, but need to make a weekend plane trip to my dad, week after next, to check up on things. Wish I could have gone this weekend as he just had his 88th birthday. But, I called him.

Then my mom's birthday is this coming week. Also one of my Parisian friends e-mailed me last weekend and he will be arriving at the end of this month and staying with me for 12 days. He's flying in to be here during the elections. He's totally into it and wants to be here during this historic time. He already has his plane ticket...580-something Euros round trip from Paris to L.A. (not bad).

So, I'll probably have him drive up to my mom's house and they can be glued to the TV all day on election day. I'll be at work. So, October is usually very busy for me. Happy Travels!

The weather is supposed to be good all weekend. Another beautiful set of days in Cambridge.

Guenmai-our Parisian friend is spendig two weeks with us over the holidays. I think they're taking advantage of the cheap vacations in the states. It's like going to Asia for us.

Thank GOD you people are finally getting decent weather in time for this GTG. I was in BOS the weekend before last and it rained so much and so constantly I thought I was going to get pressed into service building an ark!

See you tomorrow night and at Saturday brunch,

We will miss the festivities Friday night but will be there Saturday for brunch and dinner. We also look forward to seeing Laurie (and Eric?) and Carol. Are you guys (and Lcuy) at the Summerfield Suites?

Laurieco...I'll miss you guys,too.

Gpanda...Yes,it's inexpensive to come here from Paris right now. My friend decided this spur-of-the-momently.

He said that personnel called him in and told him that he would HAVE TO take 12 days vacation by the end of the year (I wish such would happen to me). He said he didn't know he had the extra days and if he had, he would have planned a trip to the U.S.

I asked him why he still couldn't plan a trip and told him to come on if he wanted to and that he could stay at my place so no worry of that expense.

So, he can't wait to get here. It's 10C/50F in Paris right now. Yesterday here in L.A.,it was 99F.

He and I met, accidentally, at LAX, over 3 years ago
while stranded due to fog in S.F. where we were to do a plane change before traveling on to Paris. We had to overnight in S.F., on an airline voucher, when we finally got to S.F. We then flew out the next day. I got him on the, very overbooked, flight to Paris as I had a high status with United then. We've been friends ever since and I've seen him twice in Paris since then. Smiles. Happy Travels!

I guess I waited too long to try to get tix, would only be able to come for Saturday and the fares from DC seem to have really bumped up. Unless DH lets me come solo and I can show up at the last minute. Wish I could be there with you all....have lots of fun.

I wish ... the problem is that I have to be in Richmond on Sunday morning for a family event so the driving is a bit much...plus there is work today!
