Thanks, Filmwil. So, great that you'll be staying in the Sheraton Grande (the "e" is more than likely British spelling".
Why don't we just go to the Thai restaurant on Sukhumvit, soi 24? You know the one that Kathy has been going to for decades and also my friends, from my GTG, Dick and Arleen, remember? I think it's Lemongrass. I still haven't eaten there and it's only one block over from me and right at the Prom Phong skytrain station...very convenient.
Then you guys would only have to go one stop, from Asoke to Prom Phong. Afterwards, if you want, you could drop by my building if you want to. You'll probably be checked out of your hotel and out, in the streets until your late night flight back to L.A.
Oh, Carol, I want to check out Adelphi Suites while there, hopefully you can give me the show-around while we're there. Happy Travels!

Guenmai, welcome back home! Good to see you back here again. Sounds like you and I arrive in BKK about the same day (I'm the 18th, very late, from NRT). I'm in the city until Jan 7.
Brunch the 21st should be fine. I doubt if bradinbangkok will be out and about that early though, Will ... noon might be better? I'd like a place that also has a more traditional western breakfast buffet to offer. I don't mind if it's mixed with Thai, Indian, you name it... With bacon and eggs, at least then I'll be sure of what I'm eating (allergies, you know). Does Lemon Grass offer that type of Sunday brunch? (btw, I can't have lemon grass!!!) Hanuman, what would you suggest?
Guenmai, I'd love to show you around the Adelphi sometime. Are you in BKK until January 5th or 6th? I'm asking, because DH will have gone back to ZRH by then, and I won't have all his stuff in the apartment to step over and around (he can be messy). The apartment might be more presentable then... lol...

Carol, I leave, for home, on the 6th.
As for a traditional breakfast, I'm not sure except the regular hotel/apartment restaurants like probably at your building or mine where there's a variety of food.
I usually don't eat breakfast out. I have a big kitchen that I love cooking in so I eat in, read the Bangkok Post, and watch Oprah in the mornings. Priceless. Real relaxation. Smiles.
Personally, my favorite buffet breakfast is at the FS and occasionally, I skytrain it there for breakfast if I can get up and get there in time. The staff still thinks I stay there. I keep reminding them that I'm in an apartment building across town. I also drop in for a cold drink and snacks from time to time. Smiles. Happy Travels!

Carol,
The weather is still rain one day, hot humid the next at the moment and I am hoping for a cool with low humidity by December.
Guen,
Yes the FS(Madison)is my favourite brunch! If you all agree then reservation should be made ahead of time, at least 1 month as it's quite popular.
Free flowing champagne, wine and martinis along with delicious food from all corner of the globe!

Here's a typical Sunday brunch menu at the FS Madison restaurant: http://www.fourseasons.com/bangkok/menu_2121.html

Hanuman...I've had that brunch, which is excellent, but I was talking about the regular buffet breakfast that's held in the Biscotti restaurant inside of the Four Seasons.
How much is the Madison brunch? I didn't notice a price. I'll look again. Happy Travels!

Guen,
They have 2 prices - with drinks it's 2,350 Baht and without drinks it's 2,000 Baht. I usually have 4 - 5 glasses of Kir Royale and/or Mimosa plus a glass of red wine so for me it's worth the extra 350 Baht.

I agree, Will. Sounds much more reasonable at Biscotti. I don't eat a lot at any one meal, so paying 2000b for a bit of cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee, and maybe a bit of bacon and eggs sounds a bit high to me.

Don't get me wrong, Pook. I saw that menu and instantly started drooling.
Would love to still do a wonderful meal (no need for snacks--I have a big appetite!) ... maybe something just a little cheaper?
Mimosas sounds good to me too, so that's always a plus!

Sorry to check in late - no wifi on the dive boat. I'll most likely be around Bangkok then. I usually ban all travel between mid December till after new year's to avoid the crazies. Let me know where you'll be and I try to join you.
