Last May we purchased tickets thorough BJP Tours on Thai Airways and then upgraged to business class on somesort of promotion Thai Airways was having. Does anyone know of other consolodators or websites I should check out to find a similar deal?? All the prices I am getting are very expensive at the moment.

Your suggestions are appreciated,
Karen

OK.. so when are you planning to leave..

current sales (non bucket shop)
http://www.smarterliving.org/air/

link too see all deals..

here a secret or not.. buy an around the world econemy ticket.. it usually costs less then a RT ticket.. but you do have too get hassled with checking out other parts of the world, god forbid.. the least expensive tends too be LAX- BKK-london- NYC- lax.. but you should check that out...

here a tip which some do. they buy thier tickets from Bangkok agents and have them send it too you.. you can save $$$..

LA to Bangkok is a flights you should be able to find for about $600-700 economy class. The trick is getting the upgrade. If you have frequent flier miles on a star alliance (United, Thai, Singapore, etc) member, that's the cheapest way. (Though the cheapest tickets aren't upgrade-able with miles) Otherwise, you'll just have to shop around for a special deal on an upgrade (Thai often has those deals). From the West Coast, a RT ticket to Bangkok will be MUCH LESS than an around the world ticket (as well as much less hassle).

Years ago, tickets used to be less expensive in Bangkok. But these days, most tickets are "world priced" The exception to this are the small airlines that aren't carried on the major computer systems, like Biman (the Bangledeshi airline).

In LA, you'll find travel agencies that specialize in tickets to Bangkok who may be able to get you a reasonably priced upgrade. Check the Sunday LA Times.

Hi-
I live in LA and I bought my ticket from Star Tours in "Thai Town" in Hollywood. They had the best prices by far and saved me about $300 on the specific Cathay pacific ticket I wanted at that time. Call them.
