Best 2 days in BKK
Greetings,
I'm going to search this board, but what would people recommend for the best 2 days in BKK, coming at the end of about a 25 day trip that will include Vietnam, Siem Reap, and Luang Prabang. (I tell you these cities because I may be wat-ted out by then.)
Your guidance is boiling down BKK's many sites to just 2 days of must-sees and not-to-be-missed are much appreciated.
Thanks. Ellen

I expect that most people would name the Grand Palace - Temple of the Emerald Buddha complex as a "must." It is very different from the other wats you will have visited. If you aren't up for another wat, or in addition, I's recommend the Jim Thompson house. I'd also recommend saving some time for a massage or spa treatments and shopping.

Take a Khlong tour through the canals. It's easy to do this after a tour of the Grand Palace. You can get a long-tail boat from the pier near the GP. It takes about two hours and is wonderful. Also, definitely get a Thai massage. You can arrange for one at Wat Pho, probably through your hotel or visit the mandara spa at the Royal Orchid Sheraton or the spa at the Oriental.
