Bangkok: Sky Train Hours of Operations?

Can someone please tell me the hours the sky train operates?

And keeping with transport questions, if the old airport is north of Bangkok, which direction is the new one in relation to central Bangkok?

Thanks!

I checked my Bangkok map and it gives hours of operation from 6am till midnight.

Information on the exact location of the new airport is vague and maps are without scales. The best I got was 30km east of Bangkok at Samut Prakam. I will be there in just over 6 weeks and have booked an airport shuttle to my hotel in Bangkok for US$12 which sounded good to me.

That all day pass looks like a great deal! I wonder if you can just but that from the counter there or have to get it from the website. I couldnt find out where to get it??????

You can get the one-day pass right at the counter at your skytrain stop - it is well worth it for the savings and convenience.

I find that the one day pass isn't really a bargain for me, because I usually just take one or two trips a day on the skytrain maybe three at most. It would take more than three trips a day to make the one day card pay for itself. I typically buy a stored value card - very convenient.

The break-even point on the pass is 3-4 rides in a day. If you are doing a lot of shopping/dining or going back and forth between the river and the central shopping area or restaurants either by the river or off Sukhumvit, it is worthwhile - otherwise just go with the one-trip fare.

Besides the window at each station, many hotels sell them at their concierge dask as well.
