Gloria. Have you been to Cabbages and Condoms? I love that place. It's the best Thai food I've ever had. The atmosphere is very simple, but it's a lovely little place. The Blue Elephant's wonderful too and the place is loaded with atmosphere. Very warm and inviting.

i too am from boston and cabbages and condoms' food is not as good as any thai restaurant here in boston!!!
sorry to disagree...we found the food bland and uninteresting...the restaurant is attractive and the shop is fun but we would not return there...
try tongue thai or gallery cafe or harmonique or any of the hotel thai restaurants for better thai food...
gloria has been there if feel confident...gloria, yes or no??

I love Cabbages and Condoms for the atmosphere and most of all for its mission--especially important when it first started when thailand was ignoring Aids. But I never found the food better than mediocre. I used to go to support their work but now I give my money to other NGOs and eat in other restaurants.

my mouth waters just reading about all these places. i live in cobble hill, brooklyn, where there are several really good thai places, joya, the red lantern, but i can't wait for the real deal. yum.
