This is their Summer Splendor rate. Note that the rate includes room and breakfast for 2, and you then choose ONE of the added benefits of one-way transfer, dinner or upgrade...you don't get all 3. There is also a plan for suites that includes a round trip transfer or dinner and afternoon tea or spa. http://bangkok.peninsula.com/pbk/packages.html

Bob and Kim,

Do either of you have an estimate for when package rates will be released for March 2008? Right now the packages are valid through December 27th...

We definitely want to stay at the Peninsula but would like to take advantage of a package if possible.

Thanks!
Liz

Probably in the fall. You could make a reservation with them now, then change your rate when the packages come out. Direct booking does not require any payment unless it is for the New Year days. They usually have a Winter Splendor package, and others like Suite Life, Suite Experience, Value the Experience and River Retreat. Prices increase every season.

generally fall/winter rates appear in september or there abouts....packages from the hotel may only last until christmas and then more after the first of the year....

send the hotel an e mail and you may be surprised with a good deal in return...

Thanks Kim and Bob. I did email the hotel... They gave me a rate of $300/night, not including breakfast... yikes. If I don't find a better package we'll probably stay somewhere else. I was hoping to find a rate of $260-280/night including breakfast. We'll be so busy during most days that it seems like a lot to pay. Maybe we'll have to check out the Marriott

I don't see why you couldn't get that rate for a deluxe room and breakfast. I'm sure you can safely wait to make your reservation until they release specials. Make a direct booking then, and watch booking sites too. Your direct reservation can be cancelled if you find a better deal, but cancelling a reservation made through a booking site incurs a fee and sometimes it takes a long time to get a refund too.

the sheraton orchid, hilton and marriott will be far less....of them i prefer the marriott, of course...

its way too early to book for march...consider waiting until late december/early january.....its not that busy of a time.....or book a refundable rate and wait for better deals to come along...

check out this site....may still have some march prices on it:

these are all prepays
