Speaking of Asiatique, I just went today for the first time. I wanted to see the elephant parade and Nancy Chandler finished one before she passed away and it was on display. I had to go to Cotton House, at Tha Oriental, for my first fitting and was there around 2:30PM and didn't want to go back to Rajadamri and then have to go back over to the river area. So, I sat and talked to the ladies at Cotton House and left at 4:10PM, walked around Oriental Place for a while, and then had to wait for the river taxi to get back to Saphan Taksin and then wait for the river boat to get to Asiatique. The first boat goes at 4PM as Asiatique doesn't open until 5PM.

That took up my whole day and I only stayed at Asiatique for about 45 minutes and then back to wait for the boat again and on the boat to Tha Sathorn to get on the BTS at Saphan Taksin. Hopefully only one more trip over to the river next week as my clothes are to be ready unless I have to do another fitting.

Happy Travels!

The Sky train is a 5 min walk to the corner from Adelphi.I always get the one bedroom.
Facing the Sofitel.Beautiful view.I stay 6 months each yr now.
Three and three, going back in March till June.

Monsoon restaurant shares the bottom floor at Adelphi.Always excellent....never disappointed.Love that restaurant.

The Sheraton lux collection 5 star is most wonderful as well. This is on Sukhumvit
It shares the sky train walk way near Ter. 21 and Asouk station.
Enjoy.... How I miss Bangkok!
