I think you're right about agoda being the same price. I think I prefer to deal direct with the hotel. Some people have complained about the location of the hotel but I'm hoping those reviewers are exaggerating.

I guess location is relevant to where you want to go. I don't think you could be closer to the beach (without actually being on the beach) than the Colony. It's also centrally located between Seminyak and Kerobokan. A lot of the newer, wonderful restaurants are in Petitenget and Kerobokan. Spas and shops are moving in that direction as well.
PS, I like millie's suggestions too if you'd like more space.

glad you found somewhere. My niece is booked at the Colony ona recommendation from a friend .
Just for the record The Grand Balisani Hotel and Suites further up towards Canngu / Batubelig is set on absolute beach frontage and very nice. I have stayed there twice. The standard rooms are fine . The garden suites in which I have stayed are huge and around US$150 a night . Largely European guests from Scandinavia .
