Bali Hotel
We're going to be staying the Nusa Dua area...looking the Grand Hyatt, the Conrad, and the Sheraton; which is the best choice and why? Thanks! Joe [email protected]

we stayed at the bali hyatt and liked it particularily for its location and mature garden areas....the location is in sanur which is a lovely little town offering local services including restaurants and bars...
the rooms and restaurants in the hotel were not fabulous--just a tad old---but were servicable and the price was right...
the conrad is fabulous and only about 2 years old....we loved it...you would not go wrong here....it is away from ND which is a plus quite honestly...

Hi there,
Have you considered the Nusa dua Beach Resort and Spa? Myself and my boyfriend stayed their for 5 nights in September (before travelling to Ubud) and really enjoyed it. Great location on the beach, fantastic breakfasts (best choice we've had anywhere) and a lovely almost "authentic bali" atmosphere.
They have a special romantic dinner twice a week where they light up their own open air theatre with candles, and put on a dance theatre show (sorry I've forgotten the names - it was a full 6 months ago!) It was really romantic with just the flames to light the paths and dinner by candlelight while the traditional "play" was played out to balinese music and the food was excellent...magic. It was our first perfect night in Bali.
It is also deemed to have the best spa on the island, and although I'm not an expert I thought it was excellent. There's also 3 pools, a tennis court and loads of activities that can be arranged by the hotel (eg $10pp for paragliding). The rooms are large (at least ours was - we upgraded to a deluxe) and have all the amenities (sat tv, full range of toiletries, air con, balcony with sea view etc) without being too spectacular, while the grounds of the hotel are beautiful. I also think it's slightly cheaper (about $120 per room per nt inc breakfast for 2) than the Hyatt (or was it the sheraton?!) which is next door, and while we didn't venture inside the Hyatt, the Nusa Dua certainly looked more spectacular from the outside.
Anyway, I didn't meet a single person who regretted their chosen hotel while we were there, so you'll have a fantastic time wherever you stay. Good luck and have a great trip

Another vote for the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa. Loved my stay there and after touring some of the hotels closeby, the Sheratons, I was very happy to stay at the Nusa Dua. Great rooms, breakfast, staff, lovely beach and beautiful spa.
