Back to Taiwan!

We loved it sooooo much last time. We are going back! One more week, starting in Taipei.

Last time we went to Hualien and Taroko gorge with a quick hot spring night in Jiaoxi.

We will be there for 6-7 days in late march. We love food, hot springs, temples... no need for big shopping areas. We don't like to move fast, a few days per towns and 2 nights in Taipei tops (we already did most the sights last time!).

Wulai? Alishan? Sun Moon Lake? Would spending a couple days wandering around Jiufen/Jinguashii be worth it?

Would you choose Wulai or Beitou for a hot spring experience?

Any recommendations?

If you like temples, think about Tainan. You can get there by bullet train from Taipei.

If you like temples you should definitely visit Taiinan. You can take a high speed train from Taipei.

Thanks! Will definitely look into Tainan. What about hot springs. Any recommendations?

Just reserved a hotel in the Da'an district (nowhere near where I stayed last time!). Is this a good place to wander for a few days?

I only went to Beitou, and I do NOT recommend that. At least not the public baths, one of the hotels might be OK, didn't try that so don't know.
