MelissaHI: I'm doing a headcount for the reservations. So far we have nine people. Shall I count you to make it 10 people so far? Thanks!

Well, well, well......I can't be there, obviously....but, if you order the chicken paws, Icuy, I will certainly send the money to donate to the cause!!

They do serve them in Thai restaurants, yes?

Guenmai - This is off topic, but I noticed that on a differnt chat you mentioned that one can book the regent 4 seasons bangoko for $138 - $158. Please let know what website I can find these rates. The cheapest I found incuding tax is $167. Many thanks.

To:RR29- I book directly through American Express Platinum Travel which is a 24-hour, 7-day a week 800 phone number. I have a reservation for the Four Seasons for this summer, but the price is higher than I usually pay. Last summer, the first price that Platinum Travel quoted me was high,too...the same price as I've been quoted this time. They've always given me the AmExp corporate rate. I just booked the room at the corporate rate and then called back up until I got ready to leave and the Bed and Breakfast promotion did pop up for the rate of $138. Fri/Sat/Sun and the $158. rate for Mon-Thurs. So, AmExp just redid my reservation. The usual rate is $175. without breakfast. Breakfast is usually about $22.00 extra. I just called AmExp the other morning at around 1AM and talked with one of the agents I deal with here in L.A. and she said that the Bed and Breakfast rate is not available right now. She put me on hold and called Bangkok directly to try to negotiate (one reason why I love AmExp Platinum). But, I'll continue to call her back and see if it eventually pops up. It has always eventually popped up in the past. Happy Travels!

To Glorialf...I've decided to give the Oriental a one night try...then I can get into the Oriental vs Penn debate! Then back to the Four Seasons. I called up Amexp Platinum the other morning and they've given me a rate of $199. More than I like to spend for a hotel, but it's for a try. Happy Travels!
