Any recent experience with Lebua at State Tower
Hi
I see that this hotel has been discussed in the past here. The reviews on TA looks pretty good and I have gotten a pretty good offer from them and I'm tempted to go for it. Any recent experience with the hotel?
Regards

I had a room on the 58th floor during Christmas (stayed 3 nights). It was just OK. Very dark inside as the only window was the sliding door in the bedroom (which you're not allowed to open). The furniture also wasn't in the best condition. Elevator service is slow from the room levels. Bars/Restaurants upstairs are good, as is the hotel location (near BTS and Expressway). I won't stay there again. I was much happier when I changed to the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit.

I thought it was a nice place. They gave us a suite...We booked a package thru their website. Very nice staff and restaurant. Its about 2 minutes from the heart of Patpong (not that I go there). The onlt thing I hated was seeing a Starbucks in the lobby as well as crappy merchants (stupid farangs that run the skin care and tailor there..look like eurotrash!) Otherwise enjoy!!

Just returned from the LeBua at State Tower. What a bargain. The service is personal and yet over the top. You get sat down with a rep. and get hotel and local knowledge. You get escorted to a fabulous suite. Someone always there to push elevator button. You are recognized as aguest with a "welcome baaack!". The lobby of the hotel does not have a Starbucks. That is the lobby of the office building that the hotel shares space. The lobby of the hotel has a tea room, a wine bar, leather couches. Look on line. Talk about stupid farangs! Pay attention. You can also pickup a good deal thru Amex. Buy1 get one free at 8900baht. About 270Us for two nights including a great breakfast. Yes they carry your plates to your table too. The bar and rest. on the 64th floor are million dollar views. Book a fix price meal at 72 US before you go. Any questions just ask.
