Any experience with AsiaRooms.com

After a recent experience with Expedia, I'm a little gun shy of making reservations through one of these sites. What happened to me was after booking a room, and receiving hotel confirmation, the hotel contacted me and said "sorry no rooms available". Despite the confirmation. So I'm wondering what folks experience has been with Asia Rooms. Thanks.

Please do search in the box on the upper right for AsiaRooms. There have been several discussions that you might find helpful.

well, our experience with AsiaRooms was good and at that time, they quoted rate lower than other sites. No complaint

I prefer using www.asiatravel.com have booked with them often and they give good rates. I also like hotelclub, they have good rates for selective hotels.

I will only used those who go into R24/sawadee, you do 'not' need to give any credit card details to make a request, you can request as many as you want.
When they get back to you, usually in a few hours they tell you which are available, you then have about 3 days to think about your choices.
When you choose you pay just 1 night deposit and the balance 2 weeks before you arrive.
I don't think anyone has ever had any problems with them, the rates include tax, service, breakfast.
No problems ever.

The sawadee and R24 sites have also a huge range of places, many that don't appear elsewhere.

last year i read one or two problems with asia rooms, but i did use them at least once for my november '06 trip and it was flawless....the problems usually come into play when you try to change or cancel a res....these are prepaid sites and do not have the usual customer service that you would expect....so just be sure of your dates, etc before you book...

i also like sawadee....i often use their site: www.huahin.20m.com
