I had the same problem. In the end, my wife and I stayed at the Fairlawn Hotel, which was quite fun and olde worlde....It's been used by rock and film stars including Sting, Julie Christie etc. It was about a 15-20 minute drive from the airport. Google for it.

Hi Mitch: Fairlawn Hotel. You mean the one in Sudder Street? 15 - 20 minutes to the airport?

How?

By helicopter? Private jet?

Yeah..that's it, dogster. Although my wife and I were a little short on cash for the chopper/jet, so we took a prepaid taxi. I think the cost was about $10.

Kilmainham....when you get off the plane and have gone through immigation and customs, simply buy a prepare taxi chit from the pre paid taxi office on your left hand side as you exit the airport, then grab a yellow cab.
