Airline from Katmandu to Jordan

Desperately need airline suggestions I have a good connection from LAX thru BKK to KTM. Now I can't find what airlines fly out of KTM to Jordan. Any ideas. I'm so tired of researching this. our local search engines don't start with KTM and won't allow me to search. I don't want to be stopping all over the place just to get to Amman. Help please. Exhausted

Last minute Wanda 1 again.

I agree, Qatar Airways via Doha gives you easy same airline good service all the way, if you are lucky enough to be flying Business you get to enjoy the special Premium Terminal at Qatar Airport between connections.

According to Expedia, there is a code share Thai Airways/Royal Jordanian flight from KMT to Amman via Bangkok Flight numbers are Thai 320 to Bangkok from KMT, then 4563 from Bangkok to Amman. Neither shows up on their websites, so try giving either airline a call to see if you can book. Takes about 16 hours.

You might also try Emirates from Bangkok to Dubai, then Jordanian Airlines from Dubai (flight times may require an overnight in Dubai). Also look into flights into Dubai from Delhi or even Mumbai, and then look into flights from KMT to any either of those cities (there are pretty many KMT to Delhi, not so many to Mumbai).

You also have Gulf Air via Bahrain though connections might not be as short/convenient as with Qatar Airways

JamesA, the Gulf Air idea is an excellent one. It looks like they would also offer a good 1-way fare.

Cicerone's suggestion of going through BKK, however, is as far off-the-wall as I've seen in a while. That would take the OP 2,500 miles out of the way (the connection through Bahrain or Doha is about 3100 miles; the "connection" through Bangkok is >5600 miles), and I doubt that there's actually a through KTM-AMM fare that allows a connection in BKK (way over MPM).

Hey, I was just reporting what Expedia came up with as the "fastest" route. As the flight from Bangkok to Amman is non-stop, that is attractive, IMO. The all in flight time appears about the same duration as going via Bahrain. I always prefer to spend time in the air than sitting in airports anyway. Bangkok is a pretty common jumping off point for going to KMT (as is Delhi). Thanks for the nice note, however.
