We leave 26 Jan, arrive Delhi 27 Jan. I have booked what looks to be a very pleasant Guesthouse - it's in the guide books and has got good reviews.

For Goa I would like a place on the beach. The idea is to have some relaxation time and we can always go into Panaji I guess.

Any suggestions? (and for Mumbai - still have that to arrange) VHS.

On the beach at Goa I stayed at Sterling Vagator, recommended by Footprint. The location was great, but the AC was flaky, and I had them move me to a different room (actually cottage). However, that was five years ago, so it may have changed. I think almost all my fellow guests were Indians. Don't remember whether I've posted my website address on your threads - it's www.wilhelmswords.com, and my post on Goa is in the asia2001 section.

Can't help with Mumbai, I stayed in a LP recommendation near the station, and would definitely not stay there again!

Thanks again - will keep researching the web & guide books. Not too phased as if not possible to pre-book feel sure we will pick something up when we get there and we could get an agent too for Mumbai.....VHS.
