A Death In The Fodors Family

I don't know how often he may have posted here, but we've lost a Fodorite overnight. Neil_Oz is no longer with us, and a long-time poster from the Europe and The Lounge Fora broke the news to us in The Lounge:

http://www.fodors.com/community/fodo...ilofoz-rip.cfm

He was a gentleman, and may he RIP.

I'm sorry to hear of Neil's passing. I remember he posted links here to his daughter's time in VN that were a wonderful counterpoint to the usual traveler's tales, as she was living in VN.

His knowledge of China was unquestioned. His love of his children he often wrote about was sincere. We will miss his wit here, he was a true gentleman. Our condolences to his family.

Aloha Oe Neil!

RIP Neil. For sure he will be missed, of course by his family, and many here on Fodors.

My deepest sympathy to his family. No question he wrote from his heart about China and willing to share the true picture. A fine man indeed, and will be missed here.

Dear Fodorites, Neil's beautiful wife Robyn has posted a message in the Lounge on the thread regarding the sad news about Neil which I am sure you will all want to read. I will also let her know about this thread and the two threads in the Australia Forum.
