Thank you from the Fowler Family

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the kind and wonderful words about my father. I also wanted to pass the word on that he passed away Thursday afternoon.

I know that he is doing what he enjoyed the most, which was travelling Europe and cheering for the NY Giants who will be winning the Super Bowl every year for him now.

The family is shocked, amazed and thankful for all of the wonderful words that have been said about my father. I can proudly tell you that he has read them all. He was amazed by the response of people he has never met, and we are amazed by how he has had an affect on those same people.

If you ever spoke to him and he recommended something to you that you truly enjoyed, please remember him the next time you go. Thank you again for all of your thoughts and prayers. It has made it much easier for us!!

Sincerely,

The Fowler Family

I am sure you have wonderful memories of your father. Also, by the number of times he helped people just here on the Forum, be assured we have them too.

Which Fowler is this about? Did I miss somehing? Thanks in advance. It is awesome how you can get attached to someone on a message board.

Wes was always so helpful and will be missed by all of us here. The posts from his children make it obvious he raised you to be the same sort of caring people he was. It is wonderful he had the chance to read the looooong thread with so many warm thoughts.

Our thoughts and prayers to the whole Fowler family.

Oh Jason, I'm so sad to hear this. I never had the pleasure of meeting your dad, but he was very important to me here on the message board and I feel a very real sense of loss. Please extend my sympathy to your mom and sister, too. And consider yourselves hugged all the way from California.
Dear Fowler Family,
This is sad news indeed. I send you my sympathy and also my Thanks.
Wes made this a better place. Without him many people would not have enjoyed their trip as much or as in my case, would not have enjoyed reading Fodors forums as much.
For many of us, it will be simply a matter of clicking on an old posting to enjoy the company of Wes Fowler, Traveler and Gentleman, whenever we wish.
God bless you and keep you in your time of sorrow.
Scarlett

Jay: so very sorry for your loss. We were very fortunate to have met Wes at our Atlanta Fodorites gathering. He was a wonderful guest and (with Bob the Navigator) were blessed with his wisdom and knowledge about traveling. Judy
