I was just looking at this earlier today! We'll be in Tokyo March 28-April 1 and Kyoto April 1-6. It's looking promising...

Mara,

Looks like a great itinerary and it looks like your sakura timing couldn't be better. You are going to just love Miyajima. I am in deep envy right now. Please tell us about it when you return

Watch your step

Aloha!

hahahaha, ht! I make it a point to really try to look where I'm going nowadays. I recently did a ten day trip to Spain covering four cities to practice for Japan. Thanks for your good wishes.

Alas, it looks as though we might just barely miss the best viewing opportunities. We arrive in Tokyo April 4. Kyoto April 7. Maybe in Takayama April 12.

It seems like it is still early. We visited the Imperial Palace East Garden yesterday. There were a few trees that are mostly out, but most just seemed to be starting.

Great photos, ms_go. Thanks! I going to Japan this week and I hope the sakura are still there in about 12 days when I return to Tokyo after traveling around Japan a bit. Enjoy your trip!

Love your photos ms_go. Looks like a beautiful day today.......
Hit SW Japan last week- Nagoya, Iwakuni, Hiroshima, Miyajima & Osaka & its castles & Shrine but sakura were still mostly sleeping.
You got some beauts at the garden though.
Enjoy Japan !

Your photos are so beautiful, ms_go! What camera do you use?

We're off to Japan in a mere 18 days! We're missing the sakura, but I'm sure it will be beautiful nonetheless.

I look forward to seeing more photos. I hope you'll post them for us.
