2 weeks in thailand

We'll stay 2 weeks in Thailand in november - 3 days in Bangkok - 6 days in Hua Hin or Pattaya - and again 3 days in Bangkok. Do you have any suggestions : hotel , things to visit and place to stay. Do you think it is wise to place reservation for the hotels in advance ? Or is it enough choice in that period. Last but not least : We did not want to spend too much money
Thanks to everybody.

In Bangkok you should do every touristy thing you've heard about, it's really worth it - Wat Po, Grand Palace, ko San road for buying cheap CDs etc, Patpong to go and gawp (or more if that's your thing!) You can do day trips - crocodile farm, rose garden are both interesting and not very expensive.
I've not been to Pattaya, but Hua Hin is gorgeous and not so touristy - Jed Pee Nong hotel very nice, has a pool and is close to the beach. Hire a car and drive round the Ko San Roi Yot national park, go to the Paradise club just outside of town to dance to Britney etc, relax on the beach, eat fantastic sea food....
Enjoy!

We will be going to Bangkok,Chaing Mai and Hua HIn in November also.We booked the Springfield in Hua Hin/Cha Am area as they had good deals when we booked.
We were told that you should have hotel reservations if you are arriving on the weekend at Hua Hin as it is popular with Thais from Bangkok.
Have you received any good recommendations in restaurants?

Jed Pee is good, also opposite is Sirin hotel, both around US$25 a night but often more at weekends. Jinnings and Niliwan are good guesthouses (both have sites but not sure or url's, but you can search on www.google.com or www.yahoo.com which I find are the easiest ). We really enjoyed Hua Hin, very clean and friendly and no-one is pushy for business, refreshing. You can get good deals like Springfield whihc I remember someone posting was around $35 but that was a while ago.
