16 days Indian travel.
I've been visiting India from the time I was born but embarrassingly enough have never traveled inside India. I have never seen the Taj Mahal and never experience the farm life of Punjab. So I've convinced my mother to be adventurous with me and off we shall go.
On the same note I would appreciate help from any one who is willing to offer it. Planning to travel from M'lore, Delhi, Punjab, Manali, Agra back to Delhi and then off to Hyderabad. Would also appreciate stay, train and activity details.
Dates of travel are all in June 2010
1 M'lore to Delhi
4 leaving Delhi to Punjab - for a farm stay - only part confirmed
7 leaving for Manali
10 leaving Manali to Agra
12 leaving Agra to Delhi
13 leaving Delhi to Hyderabad
Thanks in advance.

What info are you looking for? In Delhi, you should go to the Bahai Temple in the AM when the sun in shining directly on it, and Humayun's Tomb in the late afternoon for the same reason. Also, visit the Gandhi Smitri. I stayed at the Ginger Hotel next to the Delhi Station for about $30 per night. Not the easiest place to find, but a good place to stay.
In Agra, you will be hounded incessantly by touts but since you're familiar with India, that will be no surprise.

Well, if you really mean June 2010, you've left it rather late to ask ... Have you read any guidebooks? There are loads of Indian guidebooks that will tell you the main sights in places like Delhi.
For train info see http://www.indianrail.gov.in/ and seat61.com and indiamike.com. You have left it a bit late to book.

Thanks a lot for your comments. I managed to get the trains from Delhi to Punjab, the bookings seem to have come in okay.
Thanks for the hotel recommendation and the tips on the sites to see in Delhi. Which train station is Ginger hotel next to? If you remember do let me know. Thanks again for u'r help. Read someone's report on another site oh how they got robbed in Agra. Will make sure to take care of things.
Which guidebooks do u recommend for sights in Delhi? Do these books cover other parts of India?
Thanks again.

Have you looked in your local bookstore? Library? Exploring, Insight, Eyewitness for planning. Lonely Planet, Footprints, Rough Guide for logistics. Fodors Gold, Frommers for higher end hotels. http://www.sawdays.co.uk/ for interesting hotels.

It is right next to New Delhi Station. Here is a link: http://www.gingerhotels.com/Delhi/Hotel_profile.aspx If you stay there, tell the taxi / rickshaw driver to take you to Railway Yatri Niwas, otherwise they'll never find it.
I have Fodor's India, LP India, and LP Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan.
