Will airticket's price going up or down next week?
We are looking for cheap tickets to fly from BOS to SFO third week of October this year.
Last week the price was $312.00/RT/PP non-stop from AA and United Air but we was hoping that it would go dwown today but I was wrong. It is around $467 from AA, UA, NW, Expedia, Travelocity and Orbitz.
We can't use priceline.com ot hotwire.com since we have to be in SFO to join our tour to HK certain time.
Does anybody have any good education guess of which way airticket's prices are going? Up or down next week?
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Arg

Unfortunetly, no one but the airlines brass can predict when the prices will go up or down. They have the power to lower or raise it by the minute, hour or day. They do not give out that info to their res agents or travel agents. My best advice is to buy when you know it's a good price; not wait for a GREAT price because as you've seen, you held out too long. $312.00 pp is a very good price, I'd take next time if you see it again.

Hi Laura,
Thank you for your infor.
I was reluctant to buy it because I wanted to find out if my arrival time from HK to SFO delays then I would miss my flight from SF to BOS. What would I do if it it happens? Would China Air compensate us an overnight stay (SFO -HK) or if AA for example would let me board next flight from SFO to BOS?
Thanks.
Arg

Arg~
Well, the airlines won't compensate you with hotel stay if you've missed your connection unless it was their fault, i.e. you were routed to go from Boston to San Fran with a connection in say Detroit. Now, if the airline has to make a stop in Toledo for either weather or mechanical problems, then yes, the airline will give you a hotel voucher. But, getting back to your question, if you've missed the flight due to a missed connection, the airline will either put you on the next available flight, either the carrier you've booked with or another carrier. You may want to make sure you have paper tickets.
