I would personally sit on the right hand (starboard) side, but both sides offer great views for the last hour or so.

I agree with Gardyloo. If you have an early morning departure in summer, the sun will be on the starboard side for the first part of the flight. Any time after 9:30. local time, the sun will be on the port side.

Thank you both. I'm not sure I understand about the sun, but I get the message. Starboard to Anchorage, port on way home. Looking forward! (and crossing fingers that Redoubt won't foul things)
