Is 12PM LAX flight OK for 7AM Long Beach Port Arrival'

We are going on a Carnival Imagination Cruise (3-day Baja Mexico) in August from Thurs-Sunday. I believe the ship is supposed to arrive at 7AM at the port in Long Beach. If we self-assist and let the crew know that we have an early flight, do you guys think we can be at LAX at 10am to make it to our 12 noon flight?

I have read that Carnival recommend earliest flight is 12..and our flight is at exactly at 12..

thanks in advance for your inputs!

If you don't have to wait for your 'group' time slot and can disembark with your luggage at will, you'll be fine. In the heavy morning commute it should still only take a little over an hour.

How are you getting from Long Beach to LAX? Taxi? For a shared ride I'd want a 2 hour cushion for the ride, plus an hour for TSA, plus an hour to disembark. A shuttle is going to tell you to leave 3 hours before your flight.

BTW you can't count on being cleared for disembarkibg on time, either, So noon does make sense.

Oh -- I'd take a taxi for sure (or uber) and not a shared ride...

I've only been on two cruises so not an expert, and maybe its because I travel carry-on only, but both times they said I could leave the ship at any time and not wait for my 'assigned' group disembarking time slot.

Yes that is what happens. What also happens is sometimes the port authorities aren't able to clear the ship to disembark right on the dot.

I wouldn't chance it as the traffic is unpredictable. Unless you can do the walk off at 7 am and take all your luggage with you.
