What's the newest Airplane you have flown on?
I just got off a brand new Southwest 700 series plane - in service only since 12/9/2005. Must admit I was a bit nervous b/c it was so new but it was a beautiful plane, leather seats, smelled like a new car and flew very quietly. Flew from Orlando to Albany, NY.

In July 1983, I flew on Singapore Airline's new "Big Top" 747-300 on SQ1/2 HKG-HNL-SFO. Based on information I'm reading now, SQ didn't receive its first 743 until 4/29/83, so that plane couldn't have been more than 3 months old.

Flew on a new SAS Airbus in June 2002 from Newark to Copenhagen. The "new car"
smell was interesting in an airplane. It was the second regularly scheduled flight on this plane (it had come over from Copenhagen). The staff wasn't sure how to use the seat back entertainment system, but otherwise it was great fun

I'm not really sure what the newest plane is I've flown on, but I know there are plenty that I've spent days laying down inside of before they flew. (Bucking rivets and otherwise building the flying tubes at a Douglas plant in California.)
