What is the best day to book a flight?

I've heard that Tuesday was the best day to book a flight in terms of lowest airfare. I thought it is usually its lowest at midnight, but am not sure. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance!

Supposedly the airlines adjust their seat availablity and prices in time to access at 12:01am Wednesday morning!

But not sure if this holds ture for every carrier. I've sometmes gotten best prices on Friday night between 11pm-12M and also on Saturday morning.

It's a crap shoot. Try they all.

I have found the best fares on Wednesday at the stroke of midnight, at least on the carrier I fly with (American). Check the airline sites as well as the consolidators (Travelocity, Expedia, Orbitz, etc.)

When i say Wed. at midnight I mean Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Just didn't want to confuse you.
