usa 3000
Has anybody flown with USA 3000 before. We are currently looking into flights from Newark to Bermuda for memorial weekend and the fares are over $700. A hotel in Bermuda recommended that we try this airline and we called and the fares are $333 roundtrip. Big savings. I just want to know if they are reliable and safe.

I believe they are the charter airline operated by Apple Tours (or maybe it's another major tour operator -- can't remember specifics). Apparently they sell their extra seats to non-package participants at cheap prices. I have never flown USA 3000, so I can't speak directly about the experience.

We just recently flew this airline and we also had the same concerns. Yes, they used to only deal with Apple Vacations, but now sell commercial seats as well. The planes seem pretty new - service was good - had a long delay leaving and heading home, but it worked out OK. This airline gives you headsets and feeds you - unlike other carriers. So IMO, go ahead and book those tickets. I'd use them again.

We just flew USA 3000 from Phila to St Petersburg, FL and back. The flights were fine. Took off about 30 minutes late out of Phila but that was because the airport closed one runway to clear snow. The other runway was used for both arrivals and departures. Had a 5 hour delay on the way back, but again not the airline's fault. Philly had a 'wheels-up' status for several hours - no planes landing due to snowy conditions.
The flight attendants were friendly. Flights were smooth. They served beverages and meals, and headphones were free.
We would definitely fly with them again.

It's amazing that the better service is not with the major U.S. airlines. Since our frequent flyer miles are basically worth nothing, I think we should all give these newer airlines a try. Perhaps they are not paying their pilots $300,000 a year and can offer service.

I flew out of BWI to BDA without any problems had a wonderful flight. My cousin and his wife flew out of Newark and you would think that it was a different airline. We went Nov 30th 2004 and it was the first flight after the Thanksgiving holiday. Bwi flight was only 70% full but the Newark flight was packed, and they left about 100 pieces of luggage in Newark. Apparently, lots of folks from Bermuda came to the states to do their Christmas shopping. My cousin and his wife did not get their bags for two days.
This can happen on any major airline (I think that I have had my luggage misplaced on Northwest, Air Jamaica and US Air) I just wanted to advise to be careful since you are travling over a holiday. I flew to St Lucia on Air Jamaica and they lost my luggage for 3 days. I would definately have a change of clothes in my carry-on bag.
