and you know this how?
are you predicting that what's going to happen?
It's a merger, and not sure it will even happen, yet you're crying wolf already.
As a lifetime Plat member, I'm not very concerned......
and if AA and it's policies disappear I will live with that. Nothing was written in stone and we all knew it. So far AA has lived up to it's expectations, allowed me to use my 2M plus miles for wonderful travel all over the world with them and OneWorld partners, but that said, the program ALWAYS stated that this perk will ONLY be until the end of the program. I knew it and you should have known it when you signed up.

I am merely pointing out what a takeover does to companies.
I've been a FF flyer for almost 25 years, I know what the fine print says.
Personally speaking, it probably would do you more harm than me, as I'm 'only' a lifetime gold.
Book your tickets soon, while you still have some miles to burn. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCWdCKPtnYE
Hostile takeovers are never pleasant, and the former company pretty much loses, as do their customers. employees and shareholders.
I've done my share of M&A work, and it's never pleasant for the A side.
