I try to validate my comments, using personal connections. What do you do?
I actually FLY the airline we're talking about and have elite status myself. I don't rely on second hand info form one person.
@rkkwan - Flyertalk reports MANY MANY reports of PNR's split at the 24 hour mark, without the pax requesting it.

PNR = the 6 digit confirmation number all airlines use for a reservation
FT=FlyerTalk
and rasta I have flown over 75K/yr domestic AND int'l for over 20 years almost all on united, so I DO know what I'm talking about.

"OP number" in my post referred to OnePass number (FF number in Continental's program before the merger). Sorry...was probably multitasking with work (as usual) and didn't stop to think about acronyms.
