Unable to Purchase on Spirit Airline?

Unable to Purchase on Spirit Airline?

I was trying to book a flight on Spirit, but at check-out, it always said that " We’re sorry, an unknown error has occurred. Your card has not been charged. Please check that all payment information below matches what is printed on your card (including cardholder name) or try another card." And I had tried three cards but none of them worked. (I used the same cards to purchase flights on Delta & Student Universe three days ago, they worked perfecly.)
I've emailed Spirit for customer service. Just curious, did anyone ever meet the same problem? Does Spirit don't welcome people to purchase on their site but rather to have us purchase through travel agent ( kayak, expedia...) ? It is weird!

Well honestly its a blessing in disguise. Spirit has a two (out of five) star rating per skytrax. Their passenger reviews are horrible. I would try another carrier.

Spare yourself the aggravation, spend a little more and fly with another carrier. Spirit is horrible and they nickel and dime you for everything, even carry on bags.

You just got a taste of what would be in store for you if you are successful in booking with Spirit. Not worth the aggravation, from start to finish.

Maybe it's just a website glitch unrelated to the card. I'd just try another day. It has nothing to do with not welcoming people on their website. If they didn't want people to book there, they wouldn't even have the option.

I flew up to ACY on the 9 of july, I had the same problem, but when i checked my CC it was charged, yet i had no confirmation number, I called the airline jumped throw hoopes to get it, and they were going to send an email with my stuff, yet never got that email till i was back a week later, was unable to check in on line, do to that error of being really busy. I am flying back up on thursday, and have gotten as far as the ready to book and pay, and still get the same error, I have called multiple times and they keep telling me it's my search engine, yet i tell them I have used a computer, laptop, Ipad, Samsung, foxfire, google, E explorer , they have no clue it's their IT problem, I spent 2 hours on the phone with people who do not understand and wanted to charge me 3 times the amount, at the end i finely got it for 3.00 under the price. still a really big pain in the butt. i have sent many emails with the error message i get yet they keep telling me its my server WTH. as far as flying with them , other then some nasty workers while getting ready to board, i haven't had much problems with flying them.
